Surveying the terrain on construction sites is usually tedious, monotonous, and time consuming, but Boston Dynamics has solved this problem! They introduced the world to their new robot Spot, thanks to which this process can be automated, it can be easier to track progress and free people for more important work. Boston Dynamics provided Spot to construction company Brasfield & Gorrie for testing, and this is how Jake Lovelace, chief innovation officer at Brasfield & Gorrie, says:

“If you’ve ever been to a construction site, you know how difficult this area is. It is full of all sorts of obstacles, embankments; it is often physically difficult for a person to walk around the entire perimeter of a construction site several times a day. It was clear from Spot that Boston Dynamics has solved this problem.”
