“Apocalypse, Robot and Dog”: The first trailer for the fantastic film “Finch” with Tom Hanks in the title role has been released (premiere – November 5)
Streaming service Apple TV + has released the first trailer for the sci-fi movie Finch, which is set in the near future. A sudden and extremely powerful solar flare takes humanity by surprise and destroys almost all life on the planet.
Engineer Finch is one of the few survivors. At first, he just prepares to die, but accidentally finds a surviving dog to take care of. So that after Finch’s death the dog is not left alone, he collects Jeff’s robot, whose main task is to take care of the animal. Judging by the video, the impending cataclysm is far from the only thing that threatens the survivors…
The cast stars Tom Hanks, Caleb Landry Jones, Samira Wiley, Laura Harrier, and Skeet Ulrich. The script was written by Craig Luck and Ivor Powell, and directed by Miguel Sapochnik, best known for his work on such series as Game of Thrones, True Detective, and House Doctor (currently as showrunner he is engaged in the prequel House of the Dragon).
Originally known as BIOS, this film went into production back in 2017 and was supposed to be released in 2020. After several transfers of the rights to the picture, the streaming service Apple TV + bought out, where on November 5, 2021, Finch / Finch will premiere.
