Geek Club, developer of DIY constructors for children, raised over $ 1 million
Russian startup Geek Club started in 2020 after its founders raised about $ 168,000 on the Kickstarter platform. These funds were used to start the development and sale of the first batch of constructors. Not long ago, Geek Club raised over $ 1 million from an unnamed Russian top management.
Geek Club is DIY PCB construction kits. The buyer receives a set of parts and tools to create small robots with electric motors. As conceived by the developers, constructor should help children master the skills of engineering, robotics, and design. The startup plans to launch a line of construction sets for adults this year.
The founders of the Geek Club are Arthur Stelmakh, Oleg Dovgan, Nikita Potrashilin and Nicholas Deladeriere. Prior to Geek Club, they worked in marketing, sales, and engineering in Russia, the United States, and China.
